The dBm unit is something that we may have heard many times before, for asu it may be a bit foreign to us, especially me at first. Because I haven't found an article in Indonesian that explains this matter. <i>Don't imagine that asu is Javanese for dog!!! \ud83d\ude00<\/i> .<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">Okay later we will discuss one by one. for those who don't know how to check the signal strength on an android cellphone can be seen in the previous article:\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/agusarmanto.com\/en\/how-to-easily-find-out-operator-signal-strength-on-android-cellphone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">How to easily find out the operator's signal strength on Android phones<\/a>\u00a0.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><a name=\"more\"><\/a><b><br \/>\n<\/b><b>dBm<\/b> (sometimes <b>dB mW<\/b> or <i>decibel-milliwatt<\/i>) is an abbreviation for power ratio in decibels (dB) referenced to milliwatt (mW) units. This unit is commonly used in radio, microwave and fiber optic networks. For numbers with a minus sign (-) in front, the larger the value, the smaller the signal strength.<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\"><b>For example:\u00a0<\/b><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">-100 dBm is smaller than - 78 dBm,<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">(-78 dBm signals are stronger or better than -100 dBm.)Read Also: <a href=\"https:\/\/agusarmanto.com\/en\/setting-ip-easily-and-quickly-with-netsetman\/\">Easy and Fast IP Setting with Netsetman<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<div><b>Arbitrary Strength Unit (ASU)<\/b>\u00a0is a value in interger proportional to the received signal strength measured by the Cell Phone device.<\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><u>In GSM Networks, the formula for calculating signal strength in dBm is:<\/u><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div><u><b style=\"background-color: #cfe2f3;\">dBm = 2 \u00d7 ASU - 113<\/b>,<\/u><br \/>\nASU in the number range of 0..31 and 99 (for unknown or undetected signals).<br \/>\nExample: On smartphone information\u00a0<b>Signal Strength <span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">-105 dBm<\/span> 4 asu<\/b><br \/>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 dBm= 2 x 4 - 113 = <span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">-105 dBm<\/span><\/b><\/p>\n<h4><u>In UMTS Networks, the formula for calculating signal strength in dBm is as follows:<\/u><\/h4>\n<\/div>\n<div><b style=\"background-color: #cfe2f3;\">dBm = ASU - 116,<\/b><br \/>\nASU in the range of -5..91 and 255 (for unknown or undetected signals).<br \/>\nExample: On smartphone information\u00a0<b>Signal Strength\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">-96 dBm<\/span>\u00a010 asu<\/b><br \/>\n<b>\u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 \u00a0 dBm= 2 x 10 - 116 =\u00a0<span style=\"background-color: yellow;\">-96 dBm<\/span><\/b><\/div>\n<div>\n<h4><u>In LTE Networks, the formula for calculating signal strength is in dBm:<\/u><\/h4>\n<p>The valid numerical range of ASU is from 0 to 97. For the range of 1 to 96, ASU is mapped to<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div>(ASU - 141) \u2264 dBm &lt; (ASU - 140).<\/div>\n<div>The number 0 is mapped to RSRP below -140 dBm and the number 97 is mapped to RSRP above -44 dBm.<\/p>\n<p><!-- Iklan Artikel pcc blog --><ins style=\"height: 280px; width: 336px;\" data-ad-client=\"ca-pub-9887431285046003\" data-ad-slot=\"6068994545\"><\/ins><b>Conclusion:<\/b><br \/>\nSo here it can be concluded that the higher the dBm number (in minus numbers), the weaker the signal, while the higher the ASU value, the stronger the signal.
