How to find wild Pokémon

Wild Pokémon is a term for pokemon that have not yet been captured. Your smartphone will vibrate to notify you when a wild Pokémon is nearby. If you don't see any Pokémon around, try to change location (move/walk)! Pokémon love places like parks, so try visiting local recreation areas. So while playing the game we can also refresh ourselves. We can also use an item called Incense to attract more Pokemon to our location.
Some wild Pokémon appear only in certain environments and climates. For example, some Pokémon may appear only near lakes, seas, or other places of water.

Pokémon that are nearby will be displayed on the nearby Pokémon information (Nearby Pokemon) at the bottom right of the screen on the Map. Touch the Nearby Pokemon for more detailed information about the Pokémon detected around us and to know the distance to the Pokémon. The distance to the Pokémon is indicated by footprints. Fewer footprints means closer distance. So to find the location of the Pokémon, when we walk in a certain direction and the footprints increase, we must turn around in another direction until the footprints decrease. Pokémon that are already in the Pokédex will be shown in the color according to the original appearance of the pokemon, and Pokémon that are not yet in the Pokédex are shown with silhouette images (gray).

How to catch wild Pokémon

When we encounter a wild Pokémon, we may have several attempts to catch it before it runs away.
We can use the items we already have in our bag to increase our chances of successfully catching wild Pokémon. Razz Berries make wild Pokémon easier to catch. High-performance Poke Balls such as Great Balls, Ultra Balls, and Master Balls improve your ability to catch wild Pokémon. Touch the Bag icon when you encounter a pokemon to access these items. You can also take photos of Pokémon encounters using the camera.

An explanation of how to catch Pokémon:

  1. When a wild Pokémon is nearby, your device will vibrate, and the Pokémon will appear on the map. Touch the Pokémon to start your attempt to catch it.
  2. Pokemon will appear in front of us as shown in the image above. (You may need to orient the device or switch to camera mode).
  3. Touch and hold the Poke Ball.
  4. A target ring will appear around the Pokémon. The color of the ring indicates the difficulty level of catching the Pokémon. A green ring indicates low capture difficulty, orange indicates medium capture difficulty, and red indicates extreme capture difficulty.
  5. You have the greatest chance of catching a Pokémon when the colored ring is at its smallest diameter. At the right moment, throw the Pokeball towards the Pokémon.
  6. If you succeed, the Pokemon will go into the pokeball.
Tips: Pull and quickly spin the Pokeball in a circular motion before you release it for a chance to receive the curveball bonus.
We can also acquire new Pokemon by hatching eggs and making the ones we've caught evolve.
