How to Fix Canon MP287 Printer Error E16 (the following ink may have run out)

The Canon Pixma MP287 printer is a multifunction printer that is much loved because in addition to printing documents, it can also be used as a mini copier and for scanning documents. With an economical price compared to Epson's multifunction printers which can cost twice or three times as much, this printer is an idol because it does not drain the pocket in its purchase. This printer uses PG 810 (black) and CL 811 (color) cartridges, the same as those used in the ip 2770 printer.
A few days ago, my friend's sister came all the way from out of town just to troubleshoot this MP287 printer. And actually the problem is very easy to fix by yourself if you are careful enough to read the windows popup error display. At the time of the error, the error code information on the printer LCD shows E16 and in windows appears like this:
canon-mp286-error-e16-9888359
The following ink may have run out.
Black
The function for detecting the remaining ink
level will be disabled since the ink level
cannot be correctly detected.
If you want to continue printing without this
function, press the printer's Stop/Reset button
for at least 5 seconds.
Canon recommends to use new genuine
Canon cartridges in order to obtain optimum
qualities.
Please be advised that Canon shall not be
liable for any malfunction or trouble caused
by continuation of printing under the ink out
Condition.

Broadly speaking, the information in the popup windows above explains that the printer detects ink running out. to continue the printing process we are asked to Press the Stop reset button for approximately 5 seconds.

If it still doesn't work, you can use the key combination stop/reset together with the Start (Black) for 5-15 seconds. Wait until the cartridge stops moving and the error code on the printer's LCD disappears (or changes to a 1).
Ok, it's easy not how to solve canon MP287 printer with error code E16 (the following ink may have run out). Actually, this error warning often occurs in some canon printers, and is not a serious problem. It usually occurs for canon printers that use an infusion system or the cartridge is re-injected using third-party ink. So even though the ink is actually still not used up, the system on the printer detects that the ink has run out. From Canon itself, this cartridge is actually designed not to be refilled with ink, but if the ink runs out, replace the cartridge. The experience of my friend who works in a foreign company is that if the ink runs out, replace the cartridge, sometimes the used cartridge can be resold by my friend 😀
