DJI Mavic Mini, Spark's Newest Competitor Drone

DJI, known as a quality drone manufacturer, on October 30, 2019 launched its latest Drone series, the DJI Mavic Mini.

This drone is special because it is priced at the level of a spark, but with quality above it.

You could say the DJI mavic mini is between the DJI Spark and DJI mavic Air lines. This drone is priced at 399 USD or the equivalent of 5.6 million if converted.

At this price, we get the following:

1 drone aircraft, 1 remote, a pair of propellers, micro USB cable, gimbal protector, RC Cable (Micro USB connector), RC Cable (USB-C connector), RC Cable (Lightning connector), Pair of Spare Control Sticks, Spare Screw (6 pieces), and 1 Screwdriver.

In the combo package which is sold for 499 USD or around 7 million rupiah, in addition to getting the basic equipment above, we also get extras in the form of: You get 3 batteries, 3 pairs of propellers, 2 micro USB cables, 360° Propeller Guard, Two-Way Charging Hub (can be used for 3 batteries), 18 Watt USB Charger and a carrying bag.

If you look at the price difference of 1.4 million, it would be better if you have more funds, I recommend buying a combo package, because it gets additional accessories that are better if compared to buying separately in the future.

If you buy it separately, you might have to spend 3 million more if you look at the comparison of spark accessories sold before.

Pros of DJI Mavic Mini

1. The light weight is only 250 grams, lighter than the Spark which weighs 300 grams. With such a weight, Registration is not required in some countries and regions.
2. About the same size as the average smartphone and foldable
3. 2.7 K Video Size: 2720×1530 25/30 p, FHD: 1920×1080 25/30/50/60 p
4. has a 3-axis gimbal stabilixer, so video results are more stable. While spark is only 2-axis
5. Maximum flight duration of 30 minutes 2600 mAh, while Spark 1480 mAh
6. The flying range is 4 Km, while the Spark is 2 Km. With a longer flight range, it should have better capabilities than the Spark.

Disadvantages of Mavic Mini

1. Video Resolution is not 4K yet, still 2.7 K
2. There is no front sensor, so the sensor is only at the bottom. This sensor is useful for preventing the drone from crashing into objects in front of it. While DJI Spark Has Sensors in Front and Bottom
3. To remove the propeller, you must use a screwdriver. Unlike the DJI Spark, we can easily remove the propeller without additional equipment. While in the Mavic Mini series you have to use a screwdriver to remove the propeller.

So a little review about DJI Mavic Mini, the latest Drone from DJI which has a low price with special specifications. And in my opinion this drone is highly recommended and worth buying.
