When this article was written, pokemon go was at version 0.29.2. Every software in the early versions usually still has many weaknesses (bugs). Then later, if the developer is active, these weaknesses (bugs) will be fixed in the next version. To make it easier for pokemon go trainers to know the problems and solutions when an error occurs while playing pokemon go, we present some common bugs and solutions to overcome these problems.


The following is a list of common bugs that have been reported to the developers on the Pokémon GO version at the time of writing this article:

Trainer progress temporarily resets to Level 1
You may have accidentally created two Pokémon GO accounts: One using Google and the other using Pokemon Trainer Club. If you create an account with one login method and then try to use the other login method, a second account is created. To resolve this issue, log out of your account via the Settings menu and then log back in with your original login method.
PokéCoins and premium items do not appear in my account
Please try the following steps if you are having difficulty viewing PokéCoins or premium items in your account:
  • Sign out and sign back in to Pokemon GO. You can do this by opening the Pokemon GO App, touching the Main Menu> Settings then select "Sign out."
  • If that doesn't solve the problem, try turning off your device and restarting it.

'You already own this item' error message (Android only)

If your device loses internet connectivity while purchasing PokéCoins from the store, you may receive the 'You already own this item' error message. Try turning off and restarting your device to resolve this issue.
My location is incorrect, unavailable, or jitters/drifts
We are constantly working to improve GPS accuracy and stability. In general, GPS accuracy is highly dependent on the device you are using and your signal/connection strength. To improve your device's location, review the following settings:
  • Pokémon GO has location permissions enabled (Permission/access to know the location or use GPS on the device)
  • internet connectivity enabled (3G, 4G, Wi-Fi)
  • Location device/GPS enabled
  • Location/GPS set to high-accuracy mode
Monitored Audio
In some situations, music and sound effects in the Pokemon GO app may become distorted or delayed (delay). This issue often occurs when connected to Bluetooth audio. At the time of writing, there is no solution from the developer.
Received a 'this item is not available in your country' message when trying to download the app.
Please check your Google Wallet settings to make sure your address is based in the right country. If this doesn't work, you can also try reaching out to the Google Play support team through their Help Center.
