Resolve IDM error (not working) on Google Chrome
IDM (Internet Download Manager) is a very powerful download accelerator program. It can be integrated with several browsers by adding plugins that are automatically installed when installing IDM. However, some cases on google chrome IDM cannot function. This is because the plugin is damaged or google chrome is updated to the latest series, while IDM is still in the old series, so it is not compatible.
The indication of this problem is that if we look at the extension menu (extention) on Google Chrome, we will find the IDM extension in gray and a red text appears "This extension may have been corrupted" as in the image below.

To resolve the IDM error on Google Chrome, just follow these steps:
- Download the latest series of IDM and update the installed IDM to the latest series
- Remove IDM extension from google chrome
- Then open windows explorer, go to the folder where IDM is installed C:Program Files (x86)Internet Download Manager (for windows 64 bit) or C:Program FilesInternet Download Manager (for windows 32 bit)
- Search for files IDMGCExt.crxAfter finding it, drag the file to the google chrome extension page that we opened earlier.

A pop up window will appear, then click add extension

In this step the IDM extension still looks gray, you have to click on repair to fix the extension

If successful, the color of the IDM extension is no longer gray or colored, and your IDM can be used normally on Google Chrome.

can't squeeze the repair 🙁
First delete the IDM extension in google chrome...then update IDM to the latest series, then replace the IDM extension with a new one via drag from the file program
gan, need enlightenment here. I just updated IDM and chrome, but when I try the methods above, it always says "trying to lower the extension file" and my IDM is still not integrated with chrome. Where is the problem? thanks in advance
