Combining 2 Power Supply (PSU) in 1 computer/PC
Along with the increasing need for high-specification computers, the role of power supply becomes vital to be able to provide power as needed. Usually what requires a large power supply is a high-end VGA. For The importance of choosing a quality Power Supply (PSU) for Computers and Tips for choosing a quality power supply you can read in the previous article.
Starting from the number of hard drives installed in my computer, namely 1 terra, 750 GB, 500 GB and 320 GB. Although I use a computer with a 3.4 GHz core i3 specification and 4 GB RAM, the computer performance is very slow and unnatural.
Finally for the other 2 hard drives I added another power supply, and as a result the computer performance became normal. Incidentally there is a 200 Watt Pure power supply built into the HP computer. I have also experienced this kind of thing in the past when comparing using a fake power supply and a quality power supply. It turns out that when using a quality power supply computer performance becomes better.
From this experience, I concluded that the performance of computer components becomes less than optimal because the power needs are less or not met. And I found many cases of hard drive damage caused by using a fake power supply. Even though the contents of the hard drive are sometimes more important than a few dollars to buy a quality power supply.
Actually, it is not difficult to combine 2 power supplies in 1 computer. we simply connect green cable and black cable which is on the connector connected to the motherboard. For more details, please see the image below:

In the picture above, one connector is connected to the motherboard, while the other is not connected. In this way, when the On/Off button is pressed, the power supply can turn on at the same time. Likewise, when the computer is shutdown both power supplies also turn off.

no problem should be as long as the molex cable is not combined between PSUs, so PSU 1 specifically mobo - fan and another PSU specifically supply HDD dvd drive.
I have a 240wat power supply built into the hp compaq pc and the other one is a 450 wat power supply, can it be combined, please inform me.
