Download SpeedFan, Processor Temperature Monitoring Software
SpeedFan is software for monitoring processor temperature. In addition to the processor temperature, SpeedFan can also be used to determine the temperature of the hard disk and the rotation of the cooling fan. It is very important to know whether the processor temperature is too hot or not. At certain temperatures (usually 100 degrees Celsius) then the system on the computer will automatically shut down. This is to prevent damage to the processor or other components due to overheating.
So if your computer or laptop suddenly shuts down during use, especially when opening heavy applications such as games or graphic design that require high performance, it is possible that the processor temperature is too hot and the computer system automatically shuts itself down. One indication of this problem is that the laptop feels hot when held.
For the above purposes, software such as SpeedFan is needed to detect whether the problem is really due to heat or a dead cooling fan. If the cooling fan is dead, then the GPU Fan information does not have a number indicating how many RPM the rotation is.

SpeedFan works by accessing info on the hardware monitoring chip embedded in the motherboard. On certain hardwares, SpeedFan can even be used to adjust the clock speed of the processor. It can also be used to adjust the rotation speed of the cooling fan. For example, we want to slow down the fan rotation so that it is not noisy, or speed up the fan rotation so that the temperature of the computer device we are using becomes cooler. SpeedFan can be used on Windows 9x, ME, NT, 2000, 2003, XP, Vista, Windows 7, 2008, Windows 8, Windows 10 and Windows Server 2012 operating systems. And can also be used on Windows 64 bit.
