To make our Android phones can be connected to a Laptop / PC, one of them is using the Droidcam application. We must install 2 applications so that the android cellphone and PC/laptop can be connected to each other. One Apk format is installed on the Play Store, and one exe format to be installed on the Windows Operating system (There are also iphone and Linux versions).

Steps to Make Android Phone as Laptop/PC Webcam

1. Install the application on an android phone, click on the following link DroidCam Wireless Webcam or search on playstore with the keyword "Droidcam“

2. Once installed, then install the application on a computer / laptop by downloading it at the following link Droidcam Client Windows

Connection using Wireless

1. Connect your smartphone and PC/Laptop to the same Wi-Fi network.
2. Then open the Droidcam application on your smartphone and DroidCam Client on your PC/Laptop.

3. The DroidCam display on the phone will show the address of wifi IP and Port which is used.
4. In the DroidCam Client view on the PC/Laptop, click the wifi icon on the left to enter Device IP with wifi IP on Droidcam HP and DroidCam Port are populated 4747 as per the display Droidcam Port on HP
5. If you only want to use the Vidio camera, while the audio uses the audio on your PC.Laptop, uncheck the Audio option.
6. Next, click Start on DroidCam CLient to begin.

After running the procedure above, then you can open online video converence/meeting applications such as Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Team, Skype etc. Remember, don't turn it upside down!

Connection using USB Data Cable

1. Before plugging in the USB cable, make sure the USB Debugging on Android smartphones on.
2. Open the Droidcam application on your smartphone and DroidCam Client on your PC/Laptop. Then plug the USB cable from the cellphone to the PC.
3. The computer will detect the device and install the driver automatically. If the automatic driver installation fails, please download the ADB Driver at the following link ADB Driver Installer.
4. Next, click on the USB icon (center position) on DroidCam Client on PC/Laptop (Step 1)

5. Click Refres until HP is detected (Step 2)
6. If it has been detected then click the start button to start the connection. (Step 3)
